- Beautiful native Australian herb with soft velvety leaves and attractive mauve/purple/pink flowers. Flowers appear for a few months around winter/spring.
- Attracts native insects including the native sting-less bee and blue argus butterfly.
- Leaves and stems used medicinally against some tumours.
- Used medicinally by indigenous Australians for colds, sores and other ailments. The leaves have a musky scent when crushed. Dried, powdered leaves used medicinally.
Germination:
Sow on to moist sandy seed mix, lightly cover and keep moist. Germination is quite fast in warm weather, about 1-2 weeks.
