Description
1 x Plectranthus madagascariensis ‘variegatus’ plant or cuttings
Sent as bare-rooted plant OR cuttings
aka Lynne cultivar, Variegated mintleaf
- Used in traditional medicine to treat coughs, colds and skin conditions.
- Insect repellent: not sure how true this is but the leaves do have an interesting aroma. Nothing attacks the plant.
- Attractive foliage looks great as a contrast with other plants. Very nice is hanging baskets and terrariums. Flowers are attractive when they appear.
- Can be used as a ground cover or border plant – forms a low growing mat.
- Grown organically in Queensland – no chemicals!
Planting:
Depending on stock you may receive a few cuttings in place of a rooted plant.
These will strike easily – place the bottom 2cm of stem in water.
Change water every couple of days until roots form.
Transplant into moist soil in part shade until new growth appears.
Does best in a part shade position with good drainage. Drought tolerant but appreciates a drink.
Shipping:
Plants will only be sent out on Mondays (All locations) and Tuesdays (QLD/ Northern NSW only) to minimize the risk of being stuck in transit over the weekend.
Please be aware of your local laws/restrictions on the import of botanical products.
Ask if you need help with anything.
Happy gardening 🙂
